Dear Friends and Supporters
2014 was a successful year for creativity under our brand new roof. Thank you all for your support, which allowed us to pay for that much needed building repair. Thank you also for your continued support of our: Alameda Focused Events:
Plein Air Paintout and Alameda on Camera
Main Gallery themed exhibits and Signature Salon solo exhibits which provide a venue for both emerging artists and established artists to show and sell their work.
Gallery Programs that support poets, musicians, storytellers, and new this year: Artist Demos and the Art Talk Series
Community Classes in painting, drawing, mosaics, photography, zentangle etc.
Satellite Galleries which brings art to other community venues.
This Year’s New Projects:
A grant from the Davis Foundation sent two of our members, Fred and Margaret Fago to central Mexico during Easter week to capture images of the traditions and artistic expressions during this important holiday season. Our November Signature Gallery exhibit shows a selection of photographs from the trip.
A second grant from the Davis Foundation is funding a public art project to put a bronze statue of Amelia Earhart by Jane DeDecker on Bay Farm Island beside the Amelia Earhart School. We project her statue to be installed early in 2015 if not sooner.
Our 2015 goal “Let there be Light”, will be to make improvements to our lighting systems in the downstairs galleries and to upgrade our lighting upstairs to make our classroom space and studio rentals more effective.
We depend on your help! Frank Bette Center is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, Tax ID 94-3366957. Make your tax deductible donation today! And, thank you for your generosity!
