This month we are launching the Big Data conference which will take place in January.

The event aims to help the Heart of the South West area to realise its Big Data potential by shaping the conversation and coming together to define the focus for our investment in Big Data Human Capital.

We've also included a follow up to the successful Employment and Skills event held in November.

Please contact us if you have any news you would like us to include in future editions of the newsletter.

Update on Employment and Skills Conference

Thank you to everyone who attended the employment and skills conference last month.

The event was full subscribed and attended by over 120 organisations, businesses and individuals from across the area with an interest in the LEP’s ‘People’ theme – Employment, Skills and Social Inclusion.

Hosted by the Heart of the South West LEP People Group, the event included workshops, the chance to ask questions and an opportunity to provide input and ideas into the future commissioning of work in this area.

The workshops were a helpful way of gathering information and feedback on employment and skills within the area and this information is now being collated to help shape the... (need a sentence to explain next steps).

The presentations and feedback from the conference are available from the HotSW website, along with
an FAQ document.
