Children's Christmas Party
Sunday, December 14, 5:00 p.m. at church

See you there!

Join us in worship this Advent as Rev. Troy Tatum presents a new series of sermons, "Let Heaven & Nature Sing," based on the carol of Christmas:
  • Dec. 14:      I Wonder as I Wander
  • Dec. 21:      The First Noel (Communion Meditation)
  • Dec. 24:      Silent Night
ADVENT DEVOTIONALS
In order to help you prepare for the coming of Christ this Christmas, some FCC members have written stories, shared thoughts, and chosen scripture to include in an Advent Devotional.  Printed copies are available in the narthex, and we will also email them each day.  We invite you to join us as we prepare our hearts this season!

NEW FCC MUGS AVAILABLE!
We will have these beautiful new FCC mugs available for purchase for $8.00 Sunday morning.  We will be including these coffee mugs in our visitor gift bags. When you purchase a mug, you also cover the expense of a guest's mug too!  Be sure to get one (or more) this Sunday...they will make great Christmas gifts!

CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS
The Christmas poinsettia list is now in the narthex. Please sign up and select a poinsettia in memory or in honor of a loved one.  The cost of the poinsettias are $20.00.

Please make your checks payable to “FCC” and memo “Poinsettias”.  Thank you!

First Christian Church will offer two Christmas Eve services this year.  The 5 PM service will be especially family oriented, with our children and youth presenting "The ABC's of Christmas."  Any child who would like to participate should arrive at 4:30 PM and come to the library to pick out a simple costume (angel, shepherd, or wise person).  NO REHEARSAL will be required, and ALL children are welcome.

The 11 PM service will be a more traditional service of lessons and carols.

Both services will feature the Good News of Christmas in scripture and song, concluding with candlelight communion.  We will also receive a special offering at both services to support our Backpack Buddies ministry.

Christmas Eve is a wonderful opportunity to invite friends and family to First Christian Church!

Christmas for the Staff
Christmas is such a time of gratitude and celebration. As busy and overwhelming as it can all seem, most of us share our joy in Christ with gifts to others.  Isn't it wonderful that a small act can express so much!  During Advent we will have a decorated Christmas box in the  Narthex for you to place your gift for the staff of First Christian.  Please note on your check "gift for church staff".  You may also mail your gift to the church, but note "care of Clarissa Harms" on the envelope. Our staff do countless large and small acts for our benefit throughout the year. Please remember them in your gift giving plans.  We so appreciate their ministry to us.
Thank you!  Clarissa Harms, Moderator
