Holly Mar-Conte of Help Me Grow Oregon Receives Accolades
HMG Oregon Coordinator Holly Mar-Conte has received a "20 Under 40 Award" for her work developing a strong and cohesive early learning system in Lane County, Oregon. Help Me Grow South Carolina Presents at Home Visiting Summit
In September 2014, HMG SC joined a range of early childhood advocates and service providers at a home-visiting summit hosted by the Children's Trust of South Carolina. The daylong summit brought home-visiting professionals together to learn about and collaborate on ways to build a stronger system for families in South Carolina. Report: 2.5 Million Homeless American Children
The number of homeless children in the United States is at an all-time high. Such numbers may affect the kind of community and family outreach Help Me Grow systems must do to reach children in need of services. It may also place new demands on HMG resource directories. This new report from America's Youngest Outcasts documents the number of homeless children in every state, their well-being, their risk for child homelessness, and state level planning and policy efforts.
