December 12th

King's Comms

Dear <<First Name>>

Festival 200 was such a wonderful moment to share with over 5000 Christians from our city; to worship, pray and feel the excitement of being together. People left the evening full of joy and asking when are going to do this again?
It was a privilege to be a part of the unity expressed between the 300 Churches involved and the experience the Bi-cultral honouring of one another.

Come and join us this Sunday when Ken will sharing about 2015 and we will be praying for The Cooper Family and Josh and Karen as they head off to Church Plant in Nelson.

This is going to be a great fun time. Remember we are starting at 10 am not 10:30 am. The first part of the morning will be a relaxed time with tea and coffee and live music. There will be activities for the children to do with a Christmas theme. Then we will gather together near the stage and watch "The First Kiwi Christmas" written by Fraser Scott and sing carols and celebrate a Kiwi Christmas.

Please can you bring on the morning a plate of Christmas food that we can share ( remember that we have no kitchen facilities, and so cannot heat food).

Don't these bags look beautiful? Next week they will spreading joy to the communities they are heading to. Please pray that the recipients will receive more than a bag of goodies, that their hearts would be opened up to the love that God has for them.

This lovely young couple, Karel and Laura are getting married on the 3rd of January.
They would like to invite our Church family to the ceremony and afternoon tea afterwards.

Date: Saturday, 3rd January, 2015
Time: 2pm
Place: Cashmere Presbyterian Church
2, Macmillan Avenue (off Dyers Pass Road), Cashmere, Christchurch
Afternoon tea to follow.
Please invite your friends and family to this great fun morning.
Summer is just around the corner. We love doing fun things together as church family during this time. Do you have anything that you like to do that would be great to invite our church family to?

For example in previous years we have had picnics at Spencer park and Hagley Park,  bike rides at Macleans Island, swimming at Jellie Park, kite day at New Brighton.

Let Louisa know at the office and she can add it to our Summer Times program of events. louisa.walters@kingschurch.co.nz
