Dear <<First Name>>
The problem with uncertainty and change is that it increases levels of stress. To make a real difference, an executive or senior manager must maintain performance over a sustained period.
This time of the year is a good time to remind ourselves of what Professor Michael Wade of IMD calls "complete executive" behaviours. 'Maintaining a balance of physical health ( regular exercise and diet); mental health ( managing stress and maintaining motivation) and emotional health ( enriching experiences with family and friends as well as active leisure interests). And as sports psychologist Steven MacGregor says "remind yourself that you have a body".
Judith Lissing, mindfulness expert and psychotherapist talks about leveraging understanding what drives our need to be on tap 24/7: Constant connectedness squeezing the life out of executives. We are delighted to share part 1 and 3 of our 3 part 'Market Insights' series with Geraint Martin, CEO Counties Manakau District Health Board and Christine O'Donnell, HGI Search Executive Director: New era Talent Management involves connectedness, coalitions and creating opportunities. Growing leaders and your career requires CEO's to provide the right support and executives to understand what sustains them.
This year we have been privileged to partner with so many clients in sourcing candidates for some really interesting new era jobs. In finishing 2014 the trend continues and we would like to feature a few great career opportunities that are new to the market this week.
From everyone of us in the HGI team - Happy Christmas and a joyful holiday break!
Take care,
