Lesson 545: Glory
Deep down, everyone knows there will be a Judgment Day, when God brings justice.
God will expose all secrets, and those who were “right” will be proven right. This is a key part of glory.
Rom.2:6-8 God will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life;
but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.
Glory is a rich Bible word. We use it to describe the light surrounding God, and His reputation. Glory is the display of God’s characteristics to the world, the reasons He is worthy of praise.
As Creator of the universe, God has every right to declare His greatness. It’s not bragging.
Each member of the Trinity (Father, Son & Spirit) gives honor to the others. In movies, we pull for the good guy; every human is created in the image of God, so we desire truth and justice.
About This Series
The goal of this series is to become more useful in serving the Lord Jesus Christ, as an instrument in the Redeemer's hand. The theme verses for the series are Ephesians 4:22-24, Philemon 11, 2 Timothy 2:21
- to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
- and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
- Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.
- Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
