Lecture on The Inventive Process: 12/9

As part of the Intellectual Property and Commercializing Technology Lecture Series sponsored by UR Ventures, a lecture titled “How to Find Inventions, What Makes a Good Invention, and How to Find Prior Art” will be presented on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Gowen Room on the second floor of Wilson Commons. These are 3 related topics that together provide insight into the inventive process. The first topic is about finding inventions in the research and work you perform on a daily basis. The second covers how to evaluate what makes a good invention and looks at various factors to consider (those that UR Ventures uses in its decision process). The last is about using the patent classification system to search for prior art and uses real examples to illustrate effective technical searching. Lunch (excluding beverage) is provided. Please RSVP to Melissa Napolitano.
