Lesson 547: Safe in Him
When Jesus died, even those who knew Him best thought that their faith was misplaced.
But on the first Easter, God delivered Jesus from death, and vindicated His reputation.
Because believers are “in Christ”, we have also been raised from death, and declared right.
God delivered Christ, just as Satan said in the 2nd temptation, except for the time.
All of God’s children must wait for God’s perfect timing. Before we are glorified with Christ, we must suffer with Him. Rom.8:17; 2 Cor.1:5-7
We are hidden with Christ, we will appear with Him in glory. Col.3:3-4 We can risk everything to follow Him, because we are safe in Him.
Zeph.3:14-15, 18-20 Rejoice and exult with all your heart… The Lord has taken away the judgments against you; he has cleared away your enemies… the Lord, is in your midst; you shall never again fear evil… you will no longer suffer reproach… I will change their shame into praise… I will bring you in
About This Series
The goal of this series is to become more useful in serving the Lord Jesus Christ, as an instrument in the Redeemer's hand. The theme verses for the series are Ephesians 4:22-24, Philemon 11, 2 Timothy 2:21
- to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
- and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
- Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.
- Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
