God's Plan And Purpose For Your Life pt.3
Well, here we are at the end of our series of lessons on God's plan for your life and at the end of another year.
We are going to continue to look at the life of Joseph and some more principles that we can apply to our lives and use them to fulfill God's plan for our life.
The sixth principle is found in Genesis 37:18-28; 39:6-21.
No matter where you are in your life, if God is with you, you are blessed wherever you go and you are a blessing to others wherever you go.
The seventh principle is that God’s favor can position you for His best no matter where you are.
Genesis 37:3-4, 15-22; 39:2, 20-23; 41:38-46
The eighth principle we see from Joseph's life is wherever you are, you are on an assignment while you are there. Joseph changed the lives of those around him wherever he went. (Potipher, keeper of the prison, Pharoah)
The ninth principle is don't become bitter in the middle of the process. (Joseph's process took 17 years) We cannot control the amount of time it takes for things to manifest because we must all go through process. But, we can stop our progress in the process with bitterness.
Ephesians 4:31
“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you with all malice:”
James 3:14 KJV & AMP
The tenth principle is don’t allow your circumstances to distract you from the plan of God for your life. (How can what God said happen if I am here?) This is a question the enemy wants us to ask instead of us walking by faith.
John 10:10 AMP
“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).”
Acts 20:24
“But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.”
The eleventh principle is Don’t become comfortable in the process and forfeit God’s ultimate plan. Your situation will become better, but don’t stop until you reach God’s best for your life. (Joseph could have become too comfortable at Potipher’s place when God’s plan for Joseph was the palace.) Don’t settle for better, go for God’s best.
The twelfth principle is God uses our circumstances to position us for His ultimate plan. God can use even what the enemy thought would destroy you for your good.
Genesis 39:20
“And Joseph’s master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.”
We may not understand the circumstances in our life, but God sees the big picture and knows where our path will go.
Genesis 50:20 KJV & NLT
“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.”
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.”
