Can summer really be wrapping up already? This has been an exciting month for the carshare with a few new vehicle purchases for replacement and upgrades. One I have been flip flopping on is this 2006 Smart Car ForTwo Passion Convertible. This is a local sale and I have had the chance to drive it, super fun! What do you think? - Are you a film maker? KCC would like to make a short 3 minute film to enter into BC Hydro's Community Champions contest. Deadline for submission is September 30th. - Mazda Protégé: This vehicle has been moved to Revelstoke to accommodate the growing membership there. The Dodge Neon will be put in its place at 915 Third Street and the Smart Car will be located in the Vernon Street Parking. Watch the calendar for the upcoming moves.
- 2005 Toyota Sienna: This vehicle was purchased to replace the Dodge Caravan that was not repairable after a member took it on an inappropriate road. It will be brought to Revelstoke as soon as possible!
- Over heating vehicles: Hot weather is certainly here and will be for a while. To avoid overheating vehicles do not run the air conditioner when climbing steep hills and passes. - Booking a personal trailer: Please remember to book the personal trailer object if you are using the truck with a trailer and complete a second slip for the KM that the truck pulled the trailer.
- Electric Car Tour: While in Sicamous visiting for my nephews graduation we stayed at the Best Western where they have a car charging station. I met this great couple from California who were enjoying their retirement in their electric car. Here are some pics of the adventure.
