Wine of The Week Domaine Galevan - "Paroles de femme" Cotes du Rhone
60% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, 10% Carignan, ad 10% Cinsault from just outside the Chateauneuf AOC. Paroles de femme (meaning "Girl Talk") is more than your average entry-level CDR. Bright fruit combined with just the right amount of savory spice, and good persistent acid make this a versatile wine, and great value.

Beer of The Week - On Tap
Lazy Magnolia - Song of the South - Berliner Weisse Berliner Weisse—The People's Champagne
Berliner Weisse is an unusual beer originally brewed in Berlin. It's an old beer whose lineage dates back at least to the Middle Ages. It is extremely spritzy-effervescent, but very low in alcohol. There is no residual sweetness in a Berliner Weisse whatsoever, which makes it an ideal summer drink. When Napoleon occupied Berlin in 1809, he dubbed Berliner Weisse the "Champagne of the north." More down-to-earth Berliners just called it "the workers' sparkling wine." Because of its tartness Berliner Weisse is almost never consumed straight. Instead it is drunk "mit Schuss," that is, "with a shot" of raspberry or woodruff-flavored syrup the former being readily and the latter being next to impossible to find in North America.
Stop in and have a Lazy Magnolia Brewery Song of the South Berliner Weisse with our homemade raspberry syrup.
