Fortuna Business Improvement District is giving any business in the City of Fortuna an opportunity to have a booth at the City Wide Back to School event and Fashion Show.
The Events will take place on Thursday August 28th at Strongs Creek Plaza.
Businesses you will have the opportunity to have a FREE 10 x 20 booth space to showcase your business. Some businesses can use their space as an informational booth and others will use it as a retail pop up!
Businesses that are interested in participating in the fashion show can have up to 10 models. YOU DON'T have to be a clothing store to be apart of the fashion show! Maybe you have a product, your employees or family you would like to showcase? This is great opportunity to let the community get to know you and your business!

The FBID Marketing Workshop will take place on Thursday September 4th at the Fortuna Monday Club at 5:30 P.M.
This marketing workshop is a great opportunity for us to discuss, brain storm and create content regarding your business. Businesses will get to network with each other and use this opportunity as one really great focus group.

The FBID Social Media Workshop will take place on Tuesday September 9th at the Fortuna Union High School Computer Lab at 5:30 P.M.
This workshop will allow businesses to ask questions regarding social media. Using the computer lab businesses will be able to log in and ask specific questions.
We will show you some tools to marketing your business, attract new "Likes", brain storm on ways to get the community to engage your page. The hope is to get your businesses to us social media as a tool to communicate with the community and intern bring customer.
This will also be a great way to network with other businesses and another opportunity for focus group.

The annual Kids Free Holiday Movies are back!
Our shows are scheduled for December 6th & 13th at 10 a.m. sharp! Both movies are going to be a surprise and we are doing this to avoid one bigger show over another.

The FBID office will be closed from November 21st through December 5th so tickets will be handed out the first week of November. If your business doesn't receive tickets please contact our office before November 15th to get some before our office is closed.
Here are the “rules”
Tickets are for children 12 & younger, & adults whom are accompanying children under 5 years. Yes, we would like ALL adults to have a ticket. We use the tickets as a head count.
Who gets tickets? Give tickets to customers with young children, grand kids, or your employees with children. This is a “thank you” to your loyal customers, for doing business in Fortuna.
We are asking that only ONE adult accompany young children or groups of children to allow more seats for kids. This is an event for children—please try to encourage your customers to leave their children at the theatre to finish their holiday shopping in Fortuna. There will be chaperons at the theatre to keep an eye on the children!

We are currently looking for 2014 Movie Sponsors! If your businesses is able to sponsorship this event you will get:
Your logo is printed on posters and displayed in the theatre . Your logo will be displayed throughout the theatre at the entrance, above the popcorn and soda displays, as well as on the theatre doors.
Your banners will be displayed if provided. They will be displayed in the hallways where kids and their parents can see them as they are getting their soda, popcorn, gifts and when heading to the restrooms! .
You business will be mention during the event: We will be thanking our sponsors at the beginning of the movie and throughout the event: line.
You business will be thanked and mention in our print advertising.
