Lesson 332: With One Mind
All believers should have the same attitude: a humble servant. We look at life from God’s point of view, not as the world thinks but as God thinks.
More & more we have the same values / desires as God. We begin to think with one mind: the mind of Christ.
Phil.1:27 let your life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that… you are standing firm in 1 spirit, with 1 mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel.
Phil.2:2 being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of 1 mind.
Phil.2:5,8 Have this mind among yourselves which is yours in Christ Jesus… he humbled himself by becoming obedient
Phil 4:2 I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord.
Each member of the body of Christ is different, and yet we are all one in Christ. We have unity in Him.
1 Cor.2:16 We have the mind of Christ.
All Christians have a common enemy. We should be side by side in that battle, cooperating not fighting each other.
Satan wants to divide us. We can’t play God in the lives of other people. You can't use legalism or guilt to force someone to do right.
Even God doesn't violate our will when He saves us. You can't change anyone; only the Holy Spirit can.
About This Series
The goal of this series is to become more useful in serving the Lord Jesus Christ, as an instrument in the Redeemer's hand. The theme verses for the series are Ephesians 4:22-24, Philemon 11, 2 Timothy 2:21
- to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
- and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
- Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.
- Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
