Why Edible Wild Food?
- Food costs are rising.
- Free, wild food is readily abundant and ready to eat without any effort on your part besides harvesting and eating fresh or cooking.
- Wild foods are often nutrient-dense and/or add many nutrients, some undiscovered yet to your diet.
- Wild food can help treat various medical conditions.
Up to 2/3 of so called “weeds” in an urban setting are edible.
ALL plants have a purpose. In permaculture gardening, many plants have many uses in a complete growing system. They either help other plants, help with the soil or feed us and other life on earth.
Join us on a short walk where we cover at least 20 or more wild edibles growing where they please, waiting to be discovered by you!
See, Taste, Smell, Touch, learning one plant at a time.
