I2B updates

What we've been doing to inspire the youth....

Alternative action sports by Chris
-The I2B Swakopmund Missions Trip- Inspired2Become went to Namibia to spread the stoke of charging for Jesus. We connected with Kyle Cyriax from Shofar Swakopmund and Rainer Eimbeck from Element Riders to build some ramps and run a skate contest.
The flyers that were going around in Swakop:

From the left, the I2B Team from Somerset West: Erik de Villiers, Elmè Nienaber, Jami and Chris van der Merwe. The Swakopmund locals: Rainer Eimbeck, Kyle Cyriax and his parents Dieter and Gloria Cyriax. These are amazing people! We would like to thank them from the bottom of our hearts for all they did for us over there. We had two movie nights at the Shofar Swakopmund Church, one surf movie night and one skate movie night.

Building ramps till late. Thanks to Shofar Church in Swakopmund for sponsoring the building material. A church giving money to skaters to build ramps....what a blessing!

The awesome indoor space the Lord blessed us with to run the skate contest:

Prize giving: Erik, Kyle and I shared some testimonies.

We ran a skim clinic on the Swakopmund main beach. Thanks Handsdown skimboards for sending some boards to Namibia!

Sunset on our off day at Donkey Bay.

-July Day Trip with some of the I2B Klienvlei club skaters.

-The I2B Skate Park made the local newspaper.

-Working hard to get the bowl level and ready for the summer.

Athletics for people with disabilities by Fanie
-Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games- congratulations to my coach, Suzanne Ferreira, on her birthday which was on race day. May the Lord bless you abundantly! Thank you for all you do for us. I believe it was a special birthday.

It was a privilege to have 3 SA athletes in the final of the men's 100m T37. The race ended with SA walking away with a gold, silver and 4th place.

Well done Charl du Toit, my training partner, for taking the silver medal and our other friend, Rhys Jones from Wales, for taking the bronze.

We had opportunity to share our testimonies at the Sunday service in the village. I also met some of the chaplains whom I will serve with in Swansea at the European Champs.

We also had a great time with the Common Wealth Games' chaplains.
