So Fresh Saturdays at Ogden Park - This Saturday!

R.A.G.E. is excited to partner with Donda's House Inc. to host an open mic that will allow young local talents ages 15-24 from Englewood to earn a spot to perform at the AAHH Festival hosted by the Common Ground Foundation!

So Fresh Saturdays hosted by R.A.G.E. is a FREE, family-friendly, resident driven, “edu-tainment” series that showcases various artistic expressions, provide resources for the community and educational workshops for all ages. 

The goal of the series is to create a safe space in the parks of the Englewood and West Englewood community.  At Ogden Park located at 6500 S. Racine from 3pm-8pm, RAGE will be partnering with Donda's House to host an open mic for young people ages 15-24, giving them the opportunity to perform in the AAHH Festival hosted by Common Ground Foundation. 

 In addition to the open mic, there will be a massive bike ride hosted byRed, Bike and Green (RBG) Chicagothat will begin in South Shore and end at Ogden Park. RBG is a collective of Black urban cyclists improving the health, economy & local environment of African Americans by creating a relevant & sustainable Black bike culture. This RBG ride is narrated by Mr. L. Anton Seals, Jr., taking us on a ride along his personal journey detailing the impact of social justice in Black Chicago. A qualified social justice activist, Anton is a leader of the new school, fighting for voices that are often relegated to the sidelines of change. He is dedicated to service and active engagement through the use of media arts, community organizing and economic empowerment.

Racine from 3pm-8pm and bring the whole family! Other activities at So Fresh Saturday will include a workshop hosted by Black Youth Project, a healing circle sponsored by Healers of Color and a host of other activities for all ages.
