HISTORY UNDERGRADUATE COFFEE BREAK
History Majors and Minors are invited come for a coffee break at the Department Offices (room 400 Fletcher Argue Building) on Wednesday, September 10 between 10 am and 12 noon. Drop in and meet some history instructors as well as fellow students, and find out about upcoming events, the UM-History Undergraduate Student Association, and more.
HISTORY WORKING GROUP
A weekly Meeting of the History Working Group
will take place on Wednesdays, 2:30 - 4:00 pm
September 17 & 24 meetings are located in room 201 University College

The History Working Group follows the 'write-on-site' model. All faculty, graduate students, and Honours students are welcome to join us for designated quiet work time in a supportive setting. Individuals should bring the materials they require for 90 minutes of writing or reading. Sessions begin with each person sharing a 30-second explanation of what they hope to accomplish in the designated time. This is followed by 85 minutes of sustained writing or reading (no internet surfing, email or other distractions, please!). Wrap-up involves each person debriefing on what they were able to accomplish and the next step on the project. This is a great way to ensure you set aside time for writing and makes writing less isolating and more fun!
