Application for Fall 2015 Freshmen Admission is Open

The 2015 application for international students is now available online at: http://z.umn.edu/apply.  Students can now upload copies of their transcripts and passports via the Admissions webpage. Our goal is to make the application process easy for students, and for us to process their applications and make decisions in a timely manner.

Freshmen applicants must submit the following:
·  Completed Application for Admission (including Educational Interests Statement)
·  $55 U.S. nonrefundable application fee
·  Secondary school transcript from each secondary school/high school attended
·  English proficiency test scores

Priority Application Deadline
Please help students remember that December 15, 2014 is our priority application deadline for freshman.  Students need to complete their applications by this date in order to receive priority consideration of their application.  Applicants who complete after December 15 are considered on a space-available basis, and admission is more competitive.

New Course Offered, "Leadership for International Students"

The College of Education and Human Development is developing a year-long course titled “Leadership for International Students” to hone leadership skills in international students. The class will be based on international literature that provides a base of discussion on how to best engage international students in social events and leadership opportunities on campus. The first semester of the course will focus on leadership theories; organizational structures of US higher education systems; and the international student barometer survey results. The second semester will be used to propose a leadership engagement project to increase campus visibility of international students.
