Documentary Edge and Goethe-Institut jointly present two free workshops for filmmakers to be held on Thursday, 18 September 2014 at Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
The upcoming event brings international filmmakers from Germany to Auckland to present a day of sessions that will provide Kiwi filmmakers insight into gaining international funding. Read the full press release.
1. Pitching Workshop: 2pm-4pm, WG901, Sir Paul Reeves Building, AUT City Campus.
Meet filmmaker Arne Birkenstock (GER), producer Alex Lee (NZ), film & TV expert Maren Niemeyer (GER) and get some help with your pitching strategy.
2. International Co-Productions - Panel Discussion: 5:30pm-7pm, WG901, Sir Paul Reeves Building, AUT City Campus.
Experts from New Zealand and Germany discuss international film co-production.
The panel will be led by Alex Lee (Producer, Head of Performing and Screen Arts at UNITEC, Director Documentary Edge Festival) and consists of international guests Arne Birkenstock (Film director, Producer and Writer), Maren Niemeyer (Documentary filmmaker, Journalist and Author) and local experts Mladen Ivancic (Chief Financial Officer for New Zealand Film Commission) and John Barnett (Producer and Chairman for South Pacific Pictures).
