Fratello's
Greetings!

Well, it's here, Labor Day. To some, this means the "unofficial" end to summer. Perish the thought, I say, there is still plenty of warmth and sunshine to go around! Why look, it is probably the hottest it has been all summer recently. There is still a lot of warm & good times ahead, still time for to enjoy some good food & wine. Say, for instance, at Fratello's (just saying), where we will be featuring Hog Snapper, Swordfish and New York Strip Steaks. I know it is a busy weekend, but we would love to see you!

As you know, recently I have lauded the wines of Sonoma, which we have a good supply of. Siena, the Sangiovese based blend from Ferrari-Carano, works very well with our menu and is available by the bottle and by the glass on our feature board. I have added recently an excellent Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Gary Farrell Wines from the Russian River area of Sonoma, a Sauvignon Blanc from Quivera, which is near the Dry Creek area of the county, and I am a big fan of the wines from White Oak Winery, such as their Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet and Chardonnay.  And of course, there is the Cabernet from Silver Oak from Alexander Valley. Of course we have other wines as well, from all over the world. I have added a new Pinot Noir to our feature board from Oregon, Hawks View. This wine is represented by a new distributor to our area, whose goal is to offer quality wines at very good price points. This Pinot accomplishes this goal. It has been awarded numerous awards, and offers one a good example of why the wines from Oregon are so very good. I urge you to give it a try.

As I said, for me summer is still alive and well, and I hope you have enjoyed a safe and wonderful season. Thanks for all your support, and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Ciao
