"IN THE MONEY"
Monopoly money, funny money we’ve all heard many expressions for our colourful currency, but do you know the reason behind their ever evolving shape, size, colour and even feel? The Niagara Falls History Museum will be playing host to the Bank of Canada’s travelling exhibition called “In The Money†from September 18, 2014 to January 15, 2015. This exhibit highlights the innovations and initiatives that have made today’s bank notes easy to use and difficult to counterfeit.
Along with the exhibit, the Museum is offering an educational programme geared towards grades 5-8 students. This programme looks to offer students some hands-on, interactive features with bank notes, and also looks to develop an understanding for financial literacy.

Back for its third year, the Niagara Falls Night of Art is a wonderful way to explore your city, meet local artists and find out what is going on in the local culture scene. The Museum will be the hub for most of the activities, however installations, visual artists and performing artists will be around the Main and Ferry neighbourhood on this great night.
