Dear Friend,
For the last few months I have been doing these reflection posts after being inspired by
Rosie's. Taking time each month to reflect on the good things that happen each day/week/month has done wonders for my ability to actually stop and notice the good stuff.

Things I/We Did

1. Visited the grandparents and cousins. There was fishing, boat rides, daily cookies and popsicles, endless potato chips (and cheetos for the little one), hiking, swimming, planes, trains and automobiles. Long layovers and way too much Thomas the Train.
2. Dug my feet in the sand and ran endlessly in and out of the Pacific Ocean. The beach is one of my seriously happy places. Stinson Beach and Navarro State Beach - I am looking at you.
Is now a good time to say I plan to try to visit a couple times this fall/winter? Seriously, I can't imagine a more peaceful place than a Northern California beach in the winter.

3. The new website is planning to make a later than expected arrival, but I think it will be worth it. I've been working with Meredith Carty on all the pretty stuff and boy, I can say she gets me!

4. Gussied up our homestead. The hubs completely redid out front yard with drought resistant plants. I color coded our books in the dining room. Ruby's play/book shelf got a make-over. I created an office/yoga/meditation space for myself - I'm finished working in my bedroom!
Products and Services I Dug:
5. Costco. Who knew that place was filled with organic ingredients? Probably you. Well, I like being late to the party so now I have a million pounds of brown rice and way too much salsa.
6. Pigment and Parchment. Learning hand lettering was on my Summer of Intentionality list otherwise I would have never signed up for a class. I am so glad I did! I learned some hand lettering basics in a super low pressure environment. Plus we left with some helpful cheat sheets and an idea of a daily practice was sparked. I can't wait to take a water color class later this year!
7. Headspace. I set out to establish a daily meditation practice. It's been a YEAR and I'm still at it. { I have a 30 day trial for the first person who replies.} People, this is whoa.

Books I Can Highly Recommend:
8.     One Plus One by JoJo Moyes and Me Before You by JoJo Moyes
9.     The Rosie Project by Graeme Simison
10.     Interrupting Chicken By David Ezra Stein
