Naast de digitale printtechnieken waar ik vaak mee werk, experimenteer ik met andere technieken om tot nieuwe ontwerpen van stoffen en dessins te komen. De eerste resultaten zijn de komende tijd te zien tijdens het Analog2014 Textielfestival in Den Haag van 6 - 26 september.
Naar aanleiding van een masterclass van Daniel Henry waar ik voor was uitgenodigd, ben ik aan de slag gegaan met een speciale zeefdruk techniek, gecombineerd met het coaten, krimpen, verven en samenvoegen van verschillende stofkwaliteiten. Ik heb de mogelijkheden van deze handmatige manier van werken goed uitgebuit. Lees ook mijn blogbericht op Stylink hierover. Dit heeft geresulteerd in een vrolijke serie 'SunMoon' bestaande uit verschillende 3 meter hoge decoratieve doeken en een aantal kussens.
De opening van het festival vindt plaats op 5 september om 17.00 uur bij Grafische Werkplaats (Prinsegracht 16, Den Haag) U bent van harte uitgenodigd!

In addition to the digital printing techniques I often work with, I experiment with other techniques to create new surface designs and fabrics. The first results are on show during the Analog2014 Textile festival in the Hague from 6-26 September.
After attending a masterclass of Daniel Henry for which I was invited , I started working with a special screen-printing technique, combined with coatings, shrinkage, dyeing and layering different fabric qualities. I have well exploited the possibilities of this manual way of working. Read also my blog post on Stylink (sorry Dutch only) about my process. This resulted in a cheerful series 'SunMoon' consisting of several 3 meter high decorative textiles (without repeat) and some pillows.
The opening of the festival will take place on September 5th 17.00 hours at 'Grafische Werkplaats' (Prinsegracht 16, the Hague). You are more than welcome!

SunMoon
Binnen de nieuwe serie 'SunMoon' is de collectie van Autre Choix uitgebreid met een aantal frisse kussens van 65x65cm. Allemaal handbedrukt en te koop tijdens het Analog festival bij Studio40 in Den Haag (en uiteraard ook op bestelling leverbaar).
Within the series 'SunMoon' the collection of Autre Choix has also been expanded with some new and fresh cushions of 65x65cm. All printed by hand and for sale during the Analog festival at Studio40 in the Hague and, of course, also available on order.

Eventstyling
Bij het 'Welkom Thuis' Straattheater Festival van Theater Walhalla in Rotterdam wordt jaarlijkse het einde van de zomervakantie gevierd. Ook deze keer verzorgde ik de styling van dit ontspannen evenement.
The 'Welcome Home' Street Theatre Festival by Theatre Walhalla in Rotterdam is yearly celebration of the end of the summer holidays. I took also this time care of the styling of this stress-free event.
