The Shacklewell Arms

Remember Cola Floats? Well, we’re all grown up now so let’s stick a double shot of O’Haras rum in it! Vanilla ice cream tops coca cola with O’Haras 3-blend spiced rum. It’s going to get us through the final days of summer.

Our Ale Festival continues over the weekend with a few new additions to the rack as the barrels we put on earlier this week are all gone!

Beachcomber from George Gale & Co
A light golden ale at only 3.7%, with a zesty bitterness of lemon and grapefruit notes and a floral herb pine-like aroma. Being a Gale’s recipe, it uses only the unique Gales yeast to give a more fruity note.

Two Hoots golden ale from Joseph Holt
A light, crisp and refreshing ale with a hint of citrus that delivers a slightly sweet aftertaste, coming in a 4.2% it’s a very drinkable brew… It recently won a gold medal at the Brussels Beer Challenge, and they know a thing or 2 about beer.

Monteith’s IPA
There’s plenty of rich maltiness from this Pale Ale and higher-kilned malt combination. The Cascade and special New Zealand hops create a fruity aroma with a dose of bitterness to drive home the hop flavour. A beer for the IPA aficionado with a distinctly Kiwi style and solid 5.5% ABV.

International games are the order of the week at the Shack.
With England taking on Norway on Wednesday and France face to face with Spain again on Thursday. As always our Whistle to Whistle promotion will be in affect with a burger, fries and a pint for £10!

Speaking of food, keep an eye out for the Shacklewell Kitchen in the coming week.
