New Powerboat Courses
One Day course 3:1 instructor ratio
Minimum age of 8 years old
Basic Introduction to powerboating.
Learning basic boat controls and just generally having fun on the water.
Two Day course 3:1 instructor ratio
THIS QUALIFICATION ENABLES YOU TO DRY HIRE ANY SPEED BOAT IN EUROPE
Minimum 12 years old.
No previous experience needed but if level 1 has been achieved then please bring logbook and certificate along.
Learning all the basics and more to do with powerboating including some of the following launching and recovering, coming alongside, securing to a buoy and high speed turns.
At the end of this course we aim to get you qualified which means that you will come away with a licence to drive a powerboat under 10M. And yes you will be getting a photo card licence so please make sure that you bring along a passport photo of yourself!
Two Day Course
Minimum 16 years old.
Minimum of level 2 power boating. ( Please bring certificate/ licence and logbook along with you)
This course will introduce you to the techniques and skills required to provide efficient safety cover for a fleet of dinghies and windsurfers, kayaks and canoes and kite surfers. It is recommended that the students have a First aid certificate or a strong knowledge of first aid. Although it is stated that they just need a level 2 certificate, it is asked that the skills are up to a good standard and the student is around the water environment and gains powerboat experience before booking on this course.
For all courses you will need to bring:
suitable footwear- trainers or deck shoes ( might get wet) NO FLIP-FLOPS, CROCS, WALKING BOOTS ETC
warm clothing - Tracksuit bottoms, walking trousers etc NO JEANS
- t-shirt, jumper which may get wet
- if owned waterproof jacket and trousers
- Spare change of clothes
- Lunch
Buoyancy aids will be provided.
