Many of the dogs looking for foster homes will be at our adoption fair on Sunday, Aug. 24 at Petsmart, 330 S. La Cienega, 90048, from 2 - 5 pm. If you are interested in fostering or adopting any of these dogs, we welcome you to come meet them at the adoption fair: Hilda, Teddy, Crumpet, Miggy, Chloe, Mozart, Natasha, Coco, Pugsley, Bobby, Anastasia, Evie, Dora (maybe), Macy, Reina, Sweeney, Prancer, and Nala (maybe).
If you are interested in adopting, please come towards the early half of the fair. If you are interested in fostering (with no goal of adopting), please come in the last hour (around 4 pm).

Please note: When a dog is still at the shelter or just getting bailed out of the shelter, we have no way of knowing some things about them. For example, we don't know if they are potty-trained, good with cats, good with children, or have separation anxiety. This is also true if they have only been at the shelter and in boarding.

Hilda is a calm love-bug looking for a new foster home by Aug. 24!!! She's only about 10 pounds and 2 years old. She seems to get along with everyone, and seems to even be house-trained. She is looking for someone who's home a lot.

Skittles! I won't lie...he has his quirks. But he is also a happy boy who is a joy to be around! He needs a temp foster from 8/23 - 8/28. He doesn't like other dogs until he gets to know them, so, for this short period, it's probably best that he go to a home without other dogs. He IS hypo-allergenic and loves people! He also does best when he's not left alone for very long.

Natasha is another silly, slinky pup looking for some fun! She is about 4 months old, and about 15 pounds. She and her siblings are in boarding right now.

Will the real Mr. Orange lie down and look cute?! This is Mr. Orange...we had rescued a different dog...that we posted as Mr. Orange, but the shelter had given us the wrong dog. This is the right one and he is now out of the shelter and looking for a foster home. He is about 2 years old and 8 pounds. (Note: the other dog was pulled from the shelter by another rescue, otherwise, we would have kept him too!)

Anastasia is a beautiful little terrier. She is about 1 year old and 13 pounds. She gets along with other dogs but also prefers to have her human companionship.

Adorable little Evie is only about 8 lb.s She's a gentle little house-trained girl. She can be picky about which other dogs she likes, and bonds strongly to her person.

Marley is a very special pup who needs a very special home. She is blind, and has been malnourished, though she is eating better now. This little terrier girl is only about 7.5 months old and maybe 8 pounds now. She needs a quiet and calm home with someone who is experienced with special needs dogs. She is scared of new people, understandably.

Prancer (aka Archer) is a little 13-ish pound chihuahua beagle mix. He's very friendly and and excellent dancer. He is looking for a home where his human can spend lots of time with him. He recently escaped and was hit by a car! He's ok, but he does have some simple physical therapy exercises to do with his new foster.

Little Timmy is a tan Chihuahua...there are tons of these in the shelters and he was on his last day when we rescued him. He can be overwhelmed in chaotic situations, but he's really a grateful happy guy when he's comfortable. He needs a temp foster from 9/17 - 10/4.

Teddy is a playful, energetic, happy 4-month old pup. He's only about 10 pounds and looking for someone that can exercise, play with him, and be his buddy (human and/or canine). He needs a new foster home by Aug. 24!!!

Miggy has such beautiful eyes! He's a little black Chi mix, and we know this doesn't make him very popular....but we still think he deserves a good life! He is a bit afraid of men until he gets to know him, so actually, a patient man that can work with him on this would be great (but not mandatory). He absolutely positively needs a new foster home by Aug. 28, but will gladly take one sooner.

Mozart is a goofy puppy who just wants to play! He is about 18 pounds and 4 months, and yep, still growing....He is currently stuck in boarding with his 2 sisters.

This super-cute bundle of fur is Alphie. He is about 4 years old and 8 pounds. He just got bailed out of the shelter...current status: in boarding, looking for foster home.

Bobby is an 9-month old adorable standard wirehaired dachshund/ terrier mix. He is playful and fun. He is looking for a foster who is committed to working on his issue of resource-guarding. He needs someone with patience, dedication, and a YARD! We can provide the information for how to work on this. Check out his new adorable video:

Her pictures don't really do Dora justice. She is a friendly terrier, with both people and dogs, who is about 9 pounds and a year and a half old. She has been in boarding for almost two weeks.

Joy has such a sweet face! She just broke free of the shelter a few days ago, and would like a nice home to be in. She is a dachshund mix, about 4 years old 17 pounds. She found a temp foster, but needs a new foster by Sept. 2.

This is sweetie-pie Nala. She is a 5-year old, 12 pound Chihuahua. We bailed her and her pups out of the shelter several weeks ago. Her pups are now old enough to be on their own and getting adopted. Nala will need a new foster home by Sept. 9.

Charlie Sheen is a shepherd mix looking for a foster-to-adopt home. He was from that horrible hoarding situation about a year ago. He'll never quite be a "normal" house-dog, but he can be quite affectionate and has come a long way! He loves the outdoors.

Crumpet was found on the streets with his brother, who has already been adopted. Crumpet is a funny 11-pound terrier. He's super sweet in general, but needs to work on getting over his fear of men. He's good with other dogs too. He needs a home by Aug. 24!!!

Chloe is looking for a new foster home starting 8/24!!! Her current foster will be going out of town for several months.

Coco is a chubby little red Min-Pin who is perfect in almost every way (yes, she's house-trained!). She just may not do well in an apartment where she can hear a lot of noise. She is looking for a new foster home asap as her foster will start being away from home for 12 hours in a typical day...too much!

Who loves underbites?! Pugsley is a very nice young man who has been in boarding for almost 2 weeks! He's only about 9.5 months old and 13 pounds.

This is Beau pleading to get out of jail. It worked! Well, sort of...he's out of the dangerous shelter jail, but boarding, even though he is not going to be put down, feels just like jail to him. He is a 1-year old, 15 pound, male, we think Maltipoo.

Black and beautiful Macy is a sweet-heart. She gets along with her foster sibling dogs very well and she is even protective of the little foster kitten in her home. She is looking for a new foster home definitely by Aug. 28, but hopefully soooner!

Reina is really such a sweet Doxie mix girl. She is a bit under a year old and about 12 pounds. She is looking for a home where her person can be home a lot and where she can play a lot!

Sweeney is an adorable little Havanese mix. He is friendly, but should be kept separate from other dogs when feeding. He's a happy little guy.

Rose: "I just need a chance to show you how loyal and loving I can be. I love walks and cuddles. I'm not so great with chaotic homes or other pets so would really love a calm adult only home where I can be your princess."

Curly needs a temp foster from Sept. 12 - 29. He is great with people but doesn't like other dogs. He is a hypo-allergenic low-rider, about a year and a half old, and about 20 pounds.
