Inflated

Exciting new product...
RealSwim Bag™

The RealSwim bag™ is probably one of the most significant open water swim accessories since goggles, flippers and wetsuits were introduced. Enhance your enjoyment and safety when open water swimming with the RealSwim bag™

What is it? The RealSwim bag™ is an inflatable tow bag specifically designed for the open water swimmer. It has dual air compartments providing safety back-up, an inner storage compartment to take water proof phone, drink or food on your swim. A simple to use waist belt that allows the bag to be towed behind above the thighs ensuring minimal disruption during the swim – most of the time you will forget it is there.

The RealSwim bag™ sits on top of the water therefore is it extremely low drag. Its buoyancy provides an added layer of confidence to the more anxious open water swimmer. Most importantly the RealSwim bag™ is bright orange, it exponentially increases your visibility to other water users such as boat traffic and observers on shore.

You can get your mitts on one of these awesome open water swim devices here

Triathlon Training Day:

Lock it in tri folk- Sunday, 2nd November @ Pegasus.
We held a similar 2hr session last year. It was really valuable for newbies and the more experienced triathletes. Use it as a re-fresher and taper session, or come and learn some tips and tricks from a cool bunch of people- many who will be competing at Lake Hood the following weekend. Dan from Fit and Abel will be there to give  you advice for the swim section. More info, and bookings can be found here

Training Tip: Periodisation

Thinking about entering any of the Motatapu events in March 2015? Then you need to check out our CP Periodisation Plan!  This is the bare bones of what training and preparation  you will need to complete. If you would like more info, have any questions or would like a week-by-week training plan - please contact us.

Sometimes that big, hairy goal can seem unattainable, but when broken down into smaller parts, it seems much more realistic. Check out the plan to ensure you've ticked all the boxes before March 2015.

If you would like to know more about the Motatapu events, you can check out Richard's Motatapu Xterra video and Jo's Motatapu marathon video from earlier this year right here.

Brunch Ride

It's time to start thinking about Spring! The annual Complete Performance Brunch Ride will be held on September 14th. It's a day where we celebrate the days getting longer, traditionally with bacon, pancakes and coffee!

Cyclists will meet at Pioneer, group up, then ride out to the Raspberry Cafe, completing some 'challenges' along the way ;-)
Runners will meet at the Raspberry Cafe to receive instructions for their challenge.
