ArtPrize is a radically open, independently organized international art competition. Occurring annually, the 19-day competition turns three square miles of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, into an open playing field for art and creative expression. At ArtPrize, everyone is invited to find a voice in the conversation about what art is, and why art matters. It’s unorthodox, highly disruptive, and undeniably intriguing to the art world and the public alike.

Under the unifying theme of "Gravity," 10 artists have been brought together whose work communicates the power of some uncontrollable, unseen force upon our lives, culture and art practice.
If you are interested in attending the Private Artist / Opening Reception on the evening of Friday, September 26, please let me know so that I can add your name to the guest list.

Curatorial Debut
Widening the Cycle - A Menstrual Cycle & Reproductive Justice Art Exhibit
June 4-6, 2014
Suffolk University
Boston, MA
As I mentioned in July, I am curating a menstrual cycle and reproductive justice theme art show, entitled Widening the Cycle, for display during the upcoming biennial conference of the Society for Menstrual Cycle Research.
To help make this show inclusive and diverse, I need YOUR help. If you know any women artists whose work addresses menstruation or reproductive justice, please share the Call for Art with them. I am seeking broad interpretations and multicultural perspectives on this theme from both emerging and experienced artists.

All the bloody best,
PS. If you dig the art, please share it.
