Best [PR]actices
There’s a new kind of love up for grabs on Tinder – and this one comes complete with four legs and a tail. Yep, the dating app has officially gone to the dogs.
Last month, Social Tees, a New York City-based animal rescue organization, created Tinder profiles for a few abandoned dogs in need of new homes. Each included the dog’s age, size and demeanor, plus a clever bio (Our favorite? “Roses are grey, violets are grey. Everything’s grey because I’m a dog.”) and photos. Then, anyone interested in adopting one of the pups could “swipe right” to get more information about it and chat next steps with Social Tees.
Sure, it’s not your average Tinder love story, but it is a good example of what can happen when you think outside the box and get creative with campaigns: Within the first week of the profiles being live, Adweek reported that over 2,700 matches had been made. Gives new meaning to the phrase puppy love.
