Ready for September!

Dear all,

The last days of August are always exciting.... we still want to enjoy the summer holiday but at the same time, we are eager or maybe a little nervous for the hustle and bustle September usually brings :)

In just a few days, I am going to Istanbul for the Tarazade bellydance festival. Afterwards... plunging into the new work year with a lot of enthusiasm. The continuation of my coaching studies, further explorations in health and movement theory, and dancing of course!

The next dance date is planned on Sunday 7th September: the fifth edition of Queenie Day!
I really went with some of my favorite topics this time :)

Drill for Skill: reviewing and practicing of the invariably important basics!

Shimmies: we'll shake away with shimmy techniques and exercises

Queentessence: some people have "it" ... but what is "it"? We'll work on presence, balance, elegance. Not only for bellydance-related settings :)

With all that said... I wish you a very nice start of the new school-, work-, and/or dance year! The weather we've been having the last couple of days is not making it any easier, but I hope we will be able to hold on to the relaxed holiday mood for a while, and dive in with refreshed spirits :)

2nd November 2014: Show: Dance4Children (BE)
Dance4Children asbl/vzw supports good causes through dance! On 2nd November they organize their new show with performances by national and international dancers! Tickets are selling fast, book your seats now! All info is right here!
16th November 2014: Masterclass with Queenie, Tervuren (BE)
Working on precision and clean technique is key. Several subjects are covered, based on the participants’ questions and requests. There will be maximum 12 available places, so make sure to enroll timely! Read all details here.
14th December 2014: Queenie Day! Tervuren (BE)
The last workhop day of the year! Topics will be announced after the September edition. Make sure to save the date!

15th May 2015 Show: Anniversary 25 years Samyra, Gent (BE)
11 years ago I took my very first bellydance steps with her... Samyra, the dancer who changed my life in so many ways, celebrates her 25th dance-iversary with an extraordinary show! I feel honoured to be a part of it.
