Worship Service Time Change
On Sunday, September 7, we will return to worshiping at 10:30 am.  Be sure to mark your calendars!

Two New Sunday Morning Adult Discipleship Opportunities Are Coming this Fall:
“Sustaining Hope: Studies in the Old Testament.” – led by Peggy Schiff
Beginning with Jeremiah and Habakkuk, this study is aimed at understanding God’s long-standing commitment to the people of God and the hope that we have in a God who promises to never leave us or forsake us.  Themes of the first two units of this study include “A Promise Assured,” “A New Covenant,” “A New Future,” and “Laughter Will Return,” “The Rewards of Patience,” “Confident Redemption,” “Defiant Faithfulness,” and “Who’s in Control?”
The dual aims of this study are to learn how to live lives in which others can see God living in us and to build a family-like community of mutual love and support.

“A Study of the Synoptic Gospels.” – led by Jim Pegan
This will be a multi-perspective Bible Study of Matthew, Mark and Luke in terms of historical and cultural context, relationship to Old Testament teaching, impact on the Christian Church and implications for 21st Century Disciples of Jesus Christ. Participants will use their Bibles as the primary resource, but will be encouraged to use a variety of other reference and study tools from books and maps to websites and apps.
Feel free to contact Peggy or Jim if you have questions or seek more information. Classes will begin meeting Sunday, September 7th. Sign-ups for these studies will be offered soon.

News @ Christ Community

Names and Address of College Students Needed
We are in the process of arranging for sponsors for our Christ Community college students.  If you have a college student please provide us with their name, address, and e-mail.  Please submit this information even if it hasn't changed since last year.

College Students Sponsors Needed
What is a sponsor? A sponsor is the connection between Christ Community and our college students. It's our chance to let these young adults know that we care about them and are thinking about them.
What does a sponsor do? A sponsor sends e-mails (best way of communication) and occasionally a care package, especially during mid-term and final exams.
If you have been a sponsor before and want to continue, please be sure to fill out the sponsor information below.  We are always in need of sponsors. Please consider this ministry.
