Since I know there's a good chance you're already staring at loads of grapes right now I'll keep this quick.
Over my next 6 emails I'm going to share with you a series of Harvest Compliance Tips.
These tips are designed to help you out. Right now. Because whether or not you realize it, you need them now.....not later when they become a mess for you to clean up.
Today is Tip # 1: Keep your weigh tags "cross out free"
Specifically the item you DO NOT want to cross out and write over is any of your weights. (The gross, tare & net)
This is a No-No with the CA Department of Food & Agriculture (CDFA) & County Ag Commissioner because a weighmaster certificate (the official term for weigh tag) is a legal document.
So if in the process of completing a weigh tag you realize you've written down one or more of your weight numbers wrong you must write "Incorrect" or "Void" across that tag and start over with a brand new one.
