Children’s Ministry Back to School Cookout

Children (age 4K - 5^th grade)
Sunday, August 24 - 5:00 p.m. -6:30 p.m.

Come join us this Sunday for our Back to School Family Night. It’s going to be epic: food, games, and fun for everyone. Bring the whole family, and join us as we celebrate together. Regular Bible Buddies (4K-1^st grade) and Cool Kids (2^nd – 5^th grade) will begin September 7. Volunteers are always welcome as we need lots of helping hands to help set up, man games and eat lots of food (We have plans to create a giant 15 foot banana split!!)

BLESSING BOXES

Thank you for your faithfulness to the Blessing Box campaign. This Sunday, August 24, will be the date for return of your boxes, coins, dollars or checks. Please mark checks to First Christian, and then on memo line state for Blessing Boxes. Funds will go to snacks for Vincent Elementary children. One month’s supply is approximately $45.00 per child. Whatever you feel comfortable giving is appreciated.

Please put your returns in baskets or tray in sanctuary prior to the service. Troy will give a Blessing of the boxes.

3rd Annual Laura Langley
Memorial Blood Drive
Saturday, Aug 23

The 3rd Annual Laura Langley Memorial Blood Drive will be Saturday Aug 23, from 10:00 - 4:00 here at FCC! Please mark your calendars. Please click here to download the flier and help spread the word. Our goal is to exceed the results of our previous blood drives by hosting this year's event at Laura's home church. If you are willing to help by volunteering on Aug 23 and/or by distributing publicity materials, please contact Ann or Jim Langley at 980-1827.

Save the date! Blessing of the Pets will be Sunday, September 14, at 4 PM in the prayer garden. After the service, we'll have a time of fellowship with snacks and treats for pets and their humans.

2nd ANNUAL BACKPACK BUDDIES YARD SALE!

Please check your cabinets, garage, basement, kitchen, storage... anyplace you have "stuff" you don't know why you have, or have been meaning to get rid of so you can simplify your life.

Judy and George Dudley will pick up your donated items at the church or from your home, call 306-3997 for pick up.

The date of the sale is SEPTEMBER 5 and 6 from 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. in Columbiana. Because it takes time to organize, sort and price items, the sooner the easier for us.
