Projects in Education

This month's newsletter features Greenbusch's projects in K-12 and higher education: Franklin High School in Portland, OR and Lower Columbia College (LCC) Health and Science Building in Longview, WA.

Franklin High School Modernization                Architect: DOWA-IBI Group.
Greenbusch is providing acoustical design services for the $52.8M modernization of the historic Franklin High School. Our contribution to the design for this 240,000 SF project includes recommendations for sound isolation between spaces, reverberation control, and background sound levels associated with the mechanical system. Spaces of note include: classrooms, music rooms, mechanical rooms, performance spaces, the library, athletic spaces, and science rooms, among others.
Lower Columbia College (LCC) Health and Science Building
Architect: Leavengood Architects
This new building features modern equipment and technology-enabled classrooms that will prepare students for careers in STEM fields, as well as healthcare fields such as nursing and medical assisting. Greenbusch is providing AV Consulting.
The building was recently completed, and AV systems are now being installed by CompView of Portland. AV includes classrooms with both video projection and flatscreen displays, some with interactive displays- think giant tablet PCs on the wall! There is also an auditorium with a large projection screen, surround sound and two 10-foot video walls.
Greenbusch also provides technical expertise in mechanical engineering, vertical transportation design and commissioning services.
