The start of school is just around the corner. This week the teachers and I met to plan and discuss the upcoming new year.
The theme of this year is "A New Chapter". Whenever you read a book, each chapter can bring something special and unique. An author can take a book in a new direction in just one chapter. We can't forget what has happened in the rest of the book, but anything is possible in the new chapter.
Let this year be a new chapter for us all. Our setting has changed with our new building, we've added some new characters - a new principal and a new 5th grade teacher - let's carry all of the great memories and write a new adventure.
Help me create an amazing story this year and make it the best St. Mary's has seen!

Well, it looks like the top floor of the school is JUST about done! Yes, done. The Service Master team is hoping to move the teacher's belongings back in next week.
The basement (kindergarten and music) are also close to being finished. They need their carpeting and they can begin to move back in. First floor classrooms are being painted and then their carpet will be in.
Looks like we will be in and ready for September 2! The crew may be in the school at night the first week working on some finishing touches but most work will be done!
