Getting ROOTED at EvFree

Although it feels like endless summer here, fall is coming and filled with NEW OPPORTUNITIES for you, your family and even your faith.

We’re inviting you to something NEW here at EvFree that we think, can change your life, our church and our community. It’s called Rooted and wherever you are spiritually, it’s for you.

• Are you exploring God and curious about what it means to follow Jesus?
• Are you looking for meaningful relationships?
• Are you feeling stuck in your relationship with God?
• Could you use some clarity on God’s purpose in and through your life?
• As a longtime follower of Jesus, are you open to something new God might want to do in you?

Rooted is for the spiritually curious, the new attender and the longtime follower of Christ. Think of Rooted as a personal journey to help you take your next step with Jesus. It’s a journey with the goal of deepening your connection with God, His Church, and your purpose in the big, epic story He is writing through human history.

So what is it?
Rooted is a 10-week spiritual growth experience designed to be a catalyst for life change. It’s not a class. It’s not just a small group. It is designed to engage you through a scripture-based participant guide, discussion based sessions and powerful group experiences. Rooted is powerful because it provokes questions and conversations that go beyond what is comfortable.

Why Are We Doing This?
Our church is committed to helping people follow Jesus, get connected and go on His mission in the world. To change our community requires us first to be changed by Jesus in community. Rooted is our main catalyst for Him to do that.

You’re Invited!
We desire our whole church to go on this journey together so, starting this September, we’ll be offering Rooted three times a year—fall, winter and spring. But don’t wait. Open yourself up to God and register today—no matter if you’re exploring, new, or a longtime follower of Jesus.

Jesus said, “I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full” (John 10:10b, NIV).

Deeper connection with God, the church and your purpose is the goal. That’s why we don’t want you to miss out on the fullness of life Jesus offers you this fall. Sign up today.

Registration and Information
We will be taking registrations starting Sunday August 24 and online until the day of our fall Rooted launch on Wednesday September 17 at 6:30 pm. Space is limited.

• Dates: September 17–November 19 and November 21 (Friday Celebration Dinner)
• Day and time: Wednesday nights, 6:30–8:30 pm
• Location: Commons/on-campus rooms (plus two offsite experiences)
• Cost: $35/person (covers materials, facilitator trainings, celebration dinner)
• Childcare: $75/child up through 6th grade; pre-registrations for childcare only. Launch day will be the only day childcare allows drop-ins.
• Attendance: We believe so strongly that participation is key to maximizing your group and your experience that if you plan to or have to miss more than two sessions, we will re-register you for the next Rooted semester.
• Registration: Sign up on the Plaza on Sunday or at evfreefullerton.com/rooted.
• Questions? Contact Aubrey Pink.

I can’t wait to see how God leads you through Rooted into a deeper experience of Himself and into the life of our church!

Royal Family Kids Camp 2014

70 campers ages 6–12. 98 staff volunteers ages 15–82. 1000+ prayer warriors. ONE Body, ONE Spirit, One amazing week! Below are excerpts from the reflections of Matt Monzon, a first-time staff volunteer:

I do not think I can articulate in words the week I just experienced at Royal Family Kids Camp, but I am compelled to try. I am unsure which word would capture the overall experience: WOW or AMAZING or INCREDIBLE! I felt that the Holy Spirit fell upon camp and moved in miraculous ways. Throughout the week, I felt that people were praying over us. I could truly feel the Spirit move in and around us. . . .
