Update on the Chikungunya Virus
We are please to report that the Chikungunya virus that took a major toll on our staff and children a few months ago has finally made it's way out! We have seen a great decrease in cases in our community throughout the past month, and we thank God for His provision and healing. Thank you to each one of you for your faithful prayers and for donating medication to our clinic. Visit the CDC website if you are interested in learning more.
If you held off on sending a team this past summer because of the virus, we encourage you to contact us to reschedule your trip!

Needs
Wondering how you can support the ministry of Child Hope in a specific way? We have a few areas that we could use your help in!

Security
Due to recent budget cuts, we have had to decrease the presence of security guards at the CHI facilities. Unfortunately, our neighborhood often has high levels of crime and violence, and we are praying that God would provide us with the funds to reinstate full-time security guards at all of our buildings - about $1500/month. Please visit the donate page of our website and specify "security" in the box provided if you would like to give towards this need on a one-time or regular basis.

Feeding Program
Our community feeding program is currently scheduled to close beginning in October due to a lack of funding. We are also praying that God would provide funds to sustain this program as He sees fit. Please visit our website to learn more about the feeding program and prayerfully consider giving towards this program.
