Connecting and Growing

God has abundantly blessed this season in France! Language study throughout the summer session went well, and I have been enjoying several weeks of vacation before we begin again in September. I will be leading (mostly in French) a home connect group also starting in September. Please pray that God would speak through me and use me as I facilitate this small group. I look forward to studying the Word and praying together with this group that meets near a Paris university campus. Thank you for continuing to pray and partner with me as I learn more French!

Senegal Vision Trip

Team Bonding and Networking

Our team is returning to Senegal next week to prepare and connect prior to registration by 2016. Please pray that God continues to lead us and give vision for this office to serve West Africa. Pray especially that our team of 5 families would begin to bond well as we experience our future home together for the first time. Thank you to those who partnered with special gifts to cover my transportation cost!

Kingdom Greatness

“If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.” (Mark 9:35b)

In Mark chapter 9 as the disciples entered Capernaum with Jesus, they were arguing with each other about who was the greatest. We all desire greatness: sibling rivalry, job promotions, and even in ministry positions. Jesus does not condemn this desire for greatness. However, He redefines the path to greatness. In God's kingdom, the greatest is the least and the servant of all. As you seek greatness, are you serving others or trying to force your way above them?

Prayer & Praise

  • Praise God for partners to cover the upcoming Senegal vision trip and continued language school expenses!
  • Pray for the EMI Senegal vision and team-bonding trip August 27-September 2.
  • Praise God for friends and community in France and at language school.
  • Pray that God raises up prayer & financial partners for West Africa.
  • Pray for EMI Ghana vision to encourage and organize design professionals there as they integrate design and missions.
  • Lift up the West African countries affected by Ebola outbreaks: Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Nigeria.
