A freedom of information request filed by Solar Power Portal has revealed that two of the largest offshore developers back the government’s proposed move to scrap RO support for large-scale support. Responding to the government’s consultation, EDF Energy and E.ON said they supported the move to limit support for large-scale solar. Elsewhere, the Campaign to Protect Rural England has called on the government to work harder to incentivise the deployment of solar on rooftops. All this and much more can be found in today’s newsletter.
