MEMBERSHIP TASKFORCE In an effort to boost processor memberships at NWFPA, a task force has been organized to encourage peer-to-peer recruitment. Join us to unite and strengthen the Association and industry NWFPA welcomes any and all members to participate. The first formal gathering will be at Autumn Assembly of Committees in the Embassy Suites Lobby bar, Tuesday, September 30, at 5:30 p.m.

Looking for qualified interns? Post your information on NWFPA's new Internship Board. Opportunities are promoted to students of Food Science and other relevant fields as experiential learning in the food industry. Interns are also eligible to apply for the NWFPA Endowment Fund for Scholarships and Education. Since 1989, 77 scholarships have been awarded to students residing in Idaho, Oregon and Washington. The 2014-2015 scholarship winners are Katie Smoot, Washington State University; Sarah Tensa, Oregon State University; and, Travis Chase, University of Idaho.

AUTUMN ASSEMBLY
Golf tournament and fishing derby
Calling all golfers, anglers and food processing professionals! Join NWFPA's annual social gathering of Autumn Assembly, October 1. Have fun with friendly competitions in the golf tournament and fishing derby, and then join everyone for the Awards Dinner at the Columbia Edgewater Country Club.
Northwest Food Processors Association appointed three officers and elected six new members of its board of directors at its annual membership summit in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. NWFPA’s Board of Directors appointed Jim Robbins of Bolthouse Farms as Chair, to replace Mark Dunn of J.R. Simplot. Steve Rowe of Darigold was appointed Chair-Elect and Debbie Radie of Boardman Foods Vice-Chair of the Association. NWFPA’s Board of Directors is comprised of three officers and 15 board members.
