Simhat Bat (Baby Naming), Joyous FRIDAY NIGHT SERVICES & Special Kiddush
TONIGHT! Friday, August 22
7pm doors open, 7:15 services start
@ The Kiever Synagogue – 25 Bellevue Ave.
You're invited to end the week and bring in Shabbat with soulful, song-filled services, in which everyone can participate.
During services, we’ll warmly welcome Shana Albo and Erik Jorgensen’s newborn daughter into the community and covenant with a short
simhat bat ceremony, at which she’ll be given her Hebrew name.
Please join us for this joyous occasion!
In celebration of their daughter’s birth,
Erik and Shana will sponsor a special kiddush (snacks & schmoozing). (No need to bring snacks to share this week.)
We need a
minyan of 10 women + 10 men to start the
ma`ariv service, so please try to come on time. Both women and men lead services and there is a low partition between women's and men's seating; children are welcome on both sides.
