New Commissioner for Trade Ms Cecilia Malmström
 
 
On 10 September 2014, New President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker unveiled his team and the new shape of the next European Commission with seven Vice-Presidents. New Commissioner for Trade, Cecilia Malmström has also been announced.

UNESCAP Seminar: "Aid for Trade and South-South Value Chains" - 24 September 2014
 
 
The seminar on Aid for Trade and South-South value chains aims to disseminate recent research on the monitoring and evaluation of the impact of relevant Aid for Trade projects. Furthermore, the seminar will explore the key factors in adjusting Aid for Trade towards achieving inclusive and sustainable development objectives. The recommendations and reports resulting from the event will be submitted to the Committee on Trade and Investment of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific in March 2015.

TÜV SÜD Presents: "Achieving Sustainability through Green Building Certification & Fire Testing Seminar"
(Free of Charge) - 19 September 2014
 
 
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program is a Green Building Rating System designed to provide third-party verification for green buildings. It is developed by the United States Green Building Council. As a voluntary, consensus-based and market-driven system, LEED has already been successfully established in 135 countries. It is also a globally accepted benchmark for green building ratings.
 
 
This seminar aims to update and empower TÜV SÜD's clients with essential knowledge concerning green building movement, its principles and concepts. The U.S. Green Building Council and LEED certification process will be also introduced.
