Sign up your Children for CCBNY Choirs & Programs

Register your children for CCBNY activities like Church School, Choir, Confirmation and EYC. Please complete one form per family! Contact Katie Gojkovich with any questions.

Join the Usher Team!

Looking for a way to get involved at CCBNY on Sundays? Join the Usher Team! You will volunteer once a month and the benefits are great: meet new people, help parishioners feel welcome and find their seats, show children the way to Church School, hand out bulletins and count and secure offertory donations. During holy days, ushers are important to ensure parishioners and guests are comfortable.

We welcome everyone to join us - even young people with busy schedules (if you can't make a shift simply send Karen an email)! Please contact Karen Carpenter at 914-667-1974 or sheerkaren@aol.com for more information or to sign up.

The Fall Short Series - Jesus as a Teacher/You as Student - Coming in October!

Many of the people Jesus taught were from the countryside, uneducated and illiterate. For them he used Parables – examples, riddles, metaphors that challenged them to consider God’s message as it pertained to them. With allusions to fig trees, leaven, sowing seeds, hosting a wedding feast, a body robbed, beaten and forsaken, lost sheep, and the return of a prodigal son, among others, he taught them and teaches us to understand God’s gifts. He used Parables as ways not only to understand but also to challenge how his listeners would lead their lives. How convincing are these Parables today?

The Fall Short Series will explore Parables by, guess what (!!), reading and discussing sixteen Parables. Just as those Jesus taught, no contemporary analytic text will get in the way of our understanding for ourselves what the Parables mean to us in 2014.

John O’Neil, Jody Maier, Hondi Brasco, and Warren Ilchman will take responsibility for the discussions in the Crispell Lounge after the 10 o”clock service. The Parables for each session are available online and copies will be available in the Undercroft starting this week.

Salute to Seniors Day: Saturday, September 27th

Bronxville’s second annual Salute to Seniors Day will be held on Saturday, September 27th. This day-long celebration of our older neighbors is co-sponsored by the Senior Citizens Council, Bronxville Senior Citizens and Gramatan Village, with support from the Village of Bronxville, New York Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital, The Community Fund and the Bronxville Rotary.

Festivities begin at 10 AM on the lawn of the Bronxville High School. Community Organizations will have informational tables on Pondfield Road, and many local businesses will be offering “Silver” discounts and specials for seniors. In the afternoon, The Bronxville Library will welcome seniors to a performance by Elvis tribute artist, Dino Bravo. All are welcome to join this special day for our older friends and neighbors. For more information, email
