Dear <<First Name>>,

Welcome to our September newsletter!

My eldest son has just turned two last month you could say that parenthood is still fairly new to me. As with many of you who have children, its natural that my world has changed slightly since starting a family. Whilst it is obvious that part of parental responsibility is preparing our children for their own independent future; the practicalities of how to do that are not always  quite as obvious.

As a financial professional  the benefits of a financial education as part of good preparation for adult life are very clear to me. I believe that starting to get an understanding of how money affects feelings and personal well-being from an early age is extremely valuable and am certain many of you will agree with the sentiment "If only I knew then what I know now".

Financial capability is about having the skills to manage money in the real world, and use it wisely to create for the opportunities and life we want for ourselves. As parents we need to pass on knowledge, skills and confidence to our children leading them to make well informed, sensible decisions appropriate to their individual circumstances.

If only I knew then

      what I know now...

I believe that Personal Finance education is most effective when delivered as a planned programme so as part of our corporate social responsibility we have designed a program
to help support children in learning about money matters.

If you would like to find out how Lifestyle Management can help you inform your children to become financially educated, or to connect us with their school to discuss how we can tailor lessons plans and workshops on the subject please get in touch with me.

RL360° retains B+ Financial Strength rating from AKG

This is the first new AKG rating for RL360° following their management-led buyout in November 2013.

The report states: “Following the sale, AKG considers RL360° to be a financially strong standalone
operation with very strong operational characteristics and positive development potential. It is operating profitably and it remains well capitalised.”

No other offshore life operation has a higher rating, which reflects not only their financial strength but also their progress since the management-led buyout.

If you have any questions about the rating please contact Richard Waugh.

*Tax  &  Technical*

We recently received several inquiries from British clients regarding HMRC treatment and the taxation of offshore life policies and are planning a seminar event to cover this subject in detail providing information on UK tax planning with offshore poicies for individuals.

We will be in touch when we have more information.

The event will be week commencing 20th October.

If you have any friends or colleagues who you feel might be interested please get in touch with Sarah Taylor.
