Hi <<Club Name>>, Welcome to the Monthly Member News!

I trust you are all warm and dry in your respected regions. Up here in the winterless north we have had over 1.1 meters of rain in the past 3 months! I might need to consider joining a boat Club instead of Hot Rodding, if this keeps up and with the roads up here deteriorating terribly.

This month  there are Clubs holding events throughout the country, with the most notable being Pukekohe Hot Rod Clubs 50'th anniversary celebration. Pukekohe HRC will join an elite few Clubs to achieve this milestone. The celebrations take place over the weekend of the 20/21 September in Pukekohe. Click here for the event poster.

In October we have the Protecta Insurance 2014 National Show, hosted by combined Zone 10 Clubs at the Edgar Center in Dunedin over Labour Weekend 24/25/26 October . I'm looking forward to this show, as it's a great opportunity to get close to some awesome cars while they are on display. I will be judging the show this year, which is something I have always enjoyed.  In the interest of efficiency, we have moved our AGM and Executive meeting from November to October, to be held immediately after the National Show. The AGM will be on held on the Monday morning (27 October) with the Executive meeting following. It is with sadness we farewell our Marketing and Sales Officer, Rhian Ecclestone, who has been with us since December 2012. Rhian has decided to move on, to further her Marketing career, with an opportunity she couldn't ignore. We wish Rhian well for her future, and thank her for her efforts with NZHRA.

Equally it is with regret that we farewell Ash Oldham, our Zone 8 Director. We wish to thank Ash for his contribution over the years, and wish him well for the future. We look forward to Zone 8 finding his replacement. If you would like more information about becoming a Zone Director please contact Alicia or Myself.

The Executive are considering the possibility of holding a lottery in 2015. At this stage we are on the lookout for a suitable lottery car, and are currently investigating at a couple of options.

Please remember that to receive a discount on Cook Strait Crossings, you must book the fare via Tony Hirst (our independent booking agent), prior to the sailing time. Crossings can not be booked direct with Interislander. Tony's details are shown on the back of your affiliation cards and on the Member Benefit page of our website.

With summer just around the corner, we can all start enjoying getting out there in our cars, doing what we do best, while we enjoy our beautiful country.
