Ingredients & Supplies:
2 SALVE Essential Therapy Roll-On Vials
(any combination, choose from 10 essential oils)
1/4 C unflavored vodka
1/2 C distilled water
1 small 8 oz spray/mist bottle
(cleaned and disinfected)
Directions:
Unless you’re using a new spray/mist bottle, you must first disinfect the bottle by using hot water and soap, or a gentle water and bleach solution. Rinse thoroughly and allow to completely dry.
To begin, empty the contents of any 2 SALVE Essential Therapy Roll-On Oils into the bottle. Select any combination or two of the same.
Follow by adding the vodka. Close the bottle and shake vigorously. Then open to add distilled water, closing again and shake vigorously.
Remember oil and water separate, so adding vodka (the alcohol) will allow for this mixture to emulsify, which means the essential oils will distribute more evenly when sprayed.
Your body mist is now ready! Shake before each use. (Not recommended for linen/pillow mist because of the oil ratio content.)
P.S. For bug repellent spray, mix Lemongrass, Lavender and Clove.

- Using Clay as an Alternative to Shampoo
Clays have been used around the world for centuries as cosmetic tools as well as medicinal aids. As of late, research has shown the effectiveness of clay making it increasingly popular for health, skin-care and scalp conditions. Clays are used to absorb excess dirt, oil and toxins from the skin while simultaneously exfoliating and improving skin circulation.
For the hair and scalp, clays remove dirt, oil and build-up with out stripping the hair. It also provides moisture removing the need to add a conditioner. Some clays, such as bentonite, can even be ingested internally to help detoxify the body of harsh chemicals and provide calcium to the bones. Still not sold on using clays in your hair? read more ...
