NASL Comments on ESRD/DMEPOS Proposed Rule for CY2015
On September 2, NASL submitted comments to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on its End-Stage Renal Disease Prospective Payment System (ESRD PPS), Quality Incentive Program, and Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics & Supplies (DMEPOS) Proposed Rule. CMS Finalizes Extension of Stage 2 & Delay of Stage 3 of Meaningful Use

CMS Appeals Offer
To more quickly reduce the volume of patient status claim denials currently pending in the appeals process, CMS is offering an administrative agreement to any acute care hospital or Critical Access Hospital (CAH) willing to withdraw pending appeals (or waive the right to request an appeal) in exchange for timely partial payment (68% of the net payable amount).
