Check out the Friends Second Saturday Sale coming up on October 11! These sales are offered each month from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The first hour is open to members only.   Not a Friends member? Memberships are very affordable and available on our website, at the door on the day of the sale or pick up a membership form at the Welcome Desk the next time you visit the Bloomfield Township Public Library.

Apps & Apps Downloading Party

Have you been waiting for the right time to learn how to download books, audiobooks, magazines and music from the library? Stop by the LHG/Community Room on Wednesday, October 8^th, starting at 7 p.m., to learn how to install all of the wonderful free apps available to help you enjoy our downloadable materials. Also, while you are doing that, you can enjoy some delicious appetizers and share your downloading experiences with others.

September Is Healthy Aging Month

Every year in September focus is placed on all aspects of healthy aging for those of us 50 years and older. This national campaign is designed to broaden awareness of the positive aspects of aging and to provide inspiration for adults over 50 to improve their physical, mental, social, and financial health. The library has an outstanding collection of books on healthy aging for those interested in learning more.

Arts & Music @ the Library

There is no better way to spend a day out than at the library! Check out our series of lectures on the arts and music this fall. On Wednesday, October 29^th at 7 p.m., Suzanne Bilek will join us to discuss some of the great female artists of Detroit. When it comes to music, we will be hosting Dr. Steve Wogaman as he presents a series of lectures on Chamber Music on Friday's October 10^th and November 14^th at 12noon.
