T-10 Days Until Terminator
As Bootless's production of Terminator, the Second draws nearer, our actors and production team are hard at work building sets, collecting props, and working to bring the action of Terminator 2: Judgment Day to you through the words of William Shakespeare. Have you ever wondered exactly why we chose to produce Terminator, the Second? As the cast and crew heads steadfastly towards opening night, Bootless Blogger Meg Falasco took some time to write about how a modern story of the fear of technology and loathing of humans that takes place in 1996 Las Angeles relates to the themes and motifs found in countless episodes of the Bard's works.

Geek Culture at it's Finest
Devised by Nashville based group Husky Jackal Theater, the original intent of Terminator, the Second was to perform the show one-night-only at a local rock club. The project caught the attention of a number of influential websites and publications, including the SyFy channel, Gawker science blog i09, and Mental Floss magazine as well as reaching supporters as far-flung as Brazil, the Philippines, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Each line and phrase of the show is taken from Shakespeare's original folios, with only proper nouns, pronouns, and corresponding verb tenses subject to change. In doing to, the show accurately recreates the story of the original movie, while remaining true to the words of Shakespeare in form, if less so in intent.
